We offer several different
membership categories to fit everyone's needs - from Family
to Single to Associate - please call our office for more
information. We welcome you to join us in friendly and thought-provoking Friday and
Saturday services, Beth El Tots,
Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Adult Ed, Tikkun Olam,
Social Events, Mah Jong, Bridge, Book Groups and more.

BETH EL TOTS:
For ages 18 months to 4 years old, meets every other week with
programming related to a specific Jewish theme. Activities
include storytelling, singing, crafts, and games. Open to
members and non-members alike.

SISTERHOOD:
Sisterhood activities typically include a Game Day, a Holiday
Bazaar, a Sisterhood Shabbat, an Antiques Road Show and the
hosting of a Women's Seder. Sisterhood also supports the JFCS
food bank (FANN) and shelters for victims of domestic violence.
Sisterhood hosts a book club, the engraved brick walkway and our
synagogue's gift shop.

BROTHERHOOD:
Brotherhood sponsors a variety of activities such as a monthly
"Dinner with the Rabbi" catered deli-style dinner
with lively discussions.

ADULT ED:
Rabbi Matuson facilitates stimulating discussions on the 3rd
Wednesday evenings of each month, leads weekly scholarly
discussions every Thursday morning and offers a B'nai Mitzvah
program for adults who wish to study Torah. Adult choir also is
offered.

SOCIAL ACTION:
The Social Action Committee takes its role seriously,
organizing a food drive during the High Holy Days to benefit
Jewish Family and Community Services,
collecting food and clothing for BEAM and Mission House,
assembling Purim/Passover care packages for Jewish military
personnel and it is currently exploring opportunities to
establish a literacy project at the beaches and a
community-wide Mitzvah Day.

JUST PLAIN FUN:
Beth El has a lively social
committee which has offered fun-filled evenings such as "From Russia with Love" and
"the world's only practicing rabbi doing stand-up comedy
intentionally."
The membership committee hosts open-house nights, neighborhood
gatherings and helps coordinate Havarot, small groups of
friends who meet around common interests and form closer bonds
with one another. Sisterhood also hosts social events throughout the year. Watch for upcoming
